SparkedEcho have been proudly supporting youth music charity Rhythmix, managing some of its music programmes for children at risk in Sussex.

Kevin Grist provided Project Management of Rhythmix’s Elevated Risk initiative, which delivers songwriting and recording sessions to support young people in challenging circumstances throughout East and West Sussex. Workshops were delivered at venues including sheltered housing and youth offending services, where many young people are at risk of offending or becoming homeless.

Kevin said “Putting musical learning at the heart of places where young people have other issues going on in life, makes for a positive output and helps improve mental wellbeing alongside musical and social skills. Charities such as Rhythmix are important as they approach this flexibly, give participants a means to express themselves and can even work with young people towards accreditation.”
